About Ballast Point PTA

Board Meetings
The PTA Board generally meets on the second or third Thursday of each month at 8:00am in the library.

General Meetings
General PTA meetings are also held during the year. These meetings are designed to inform and unite our parent base. Please make a point of attending these events. Nominations for PTA Board positions are made in April by a Nominating Committee. The new Board is approved at the General PTA meeting in May. Meetings are open to all parents, guardians, and staff.

Florida State PTA
This organization is dedicated to improving the education opportunities and quality of life for all children by helping communities within the state establish local PTAs. It is a visible child advocate in local, regional, and state government and offers scholarships and grants. For more information regarding FPTA, please visit www.floridapta.org

National PTA
This group is the largest volunteer child advocacy organization in the United States that encourages parents and public involvement in the public schools of this nation. It supports and speaks on behalf of children in school before governmental bodies and other organizations that make decisions affecting children. Visit http://www.pta.org for more information.

Why Join?

As a member of the Ballast Point Elementary PTA, you join a community that encourages student achievement and helps enrich the learning environment. We believe in building partnerships between our families and our school. If you have not joined, we would like to encourage you to become a member.

Enrollment information will be provided in the PTA packet sent home during the first 2 weeks of school.

PTA Membership Awards

Our goal of 100% faculty membership has been achieved! We are now in the process of applying for a “100% Faculty Membership Award” with the Florida PTA. Thank you to all the faculty members and administrators!

We are also proud to announce that we have achieved our goal of getting at least 10 grandparent memberships! We now qualify for the “Grandparent Silver Membership Award”. Thank you to all the grandparents who have signed up to become members!
