The Ballast Point Elementary PTA is a private, non-profit Parent Teacher Association tasked with a mission of enriching the school experience for all students. The PTA creates, funds, manages and supports programs that benefit all children at Ballast Point either directly or indirectly. We believe that our programs should be consistent with staff priorities and that they must support core curriculum—reading, writing, mathematics, science, art, music and physical education. Our goals are to provide broad support to the school, encourage family and member involvement and to create programs that are sustainable.
The PTA General Membership is just about every parent and teacher associated with the school. As a member, we encourage you to come to our General Membership meetings. These are the meetings at which the PTA Board presents its recommendations for the most significant organizational actions of the organization: the election of officers, the acceptance of our yearly budgets and the expenditure of unbudgeted funds.
